Well, the ultrasound today was amazing. We could see all four chambers of the heart, the kidneys, liver, and spine. Its little arms are developed and moving around. At one point babby may have been sucking its thumb – sure looked like it. No more small blob, one of the pics looks like I’ll be giving birth to a giant foot.
And now, what everyone wants to know, the sex is…
You have to wait until we decide to open the sealed envelope. Christmas? Maybe? Although, Matthew knows what it is, but he is sworn to secrecy.

Babby bellies may be smaller than they appear

Well, Matthew and I visited the doc today for a baby check up. We were supposed to hear the heartbeat today, but the little thing (fat head – thank you, Matthew) kept flipping over and moving around. It was incredible to see it moving on the ultrasound. Matthew claims there is motion blur in the picture.
Well, what you are looking at in the attached picture is fat head who has been flipping over from back to side with arms flailing. Fat head’s fat head is the big bulbous sphere followed by spine and back. I believe you can see the umbilical cord as well or a foot.
It was a great visit and completely incredible to watch it move but not feel it. I’m sure soon enough I will be feeling it. Fat head is about the size of a large tomato and I’m not exactly getting smaller either. I have officially gained about 10lbs with more gaining to go! Matthew has been making lots of bacon for me lately, which I’m sure is why my pants are quite snug.
